PhD position in Bioinformatics Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU)

We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student within a research project in the field of gene regulatory network inference funded by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Clinical Research, Erlangen.

Applicants should have successfully completed their Master’s/ Diploma degree in bioinformatics, bioengineering, applied mathematics, or a related discipline. Good programming skills, strong interest in the biological interpretation of results, and good working knowledge of English are a requirement. Competence in genomics data analysis and/or statistical modeling would be a plus.

Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), with more than 35,000 students and over 550 professors, is the second largest university in Bavaria and has a research-intensive focus. Research at the Institute of Human Genetics aims at elucidating the molecular basis of both monogenic and complex diseases and its findings are translated into everyday patient care.
